About

Tulipané

Tulipane opened its doors in January 2018, bringing together our passion for serving authentic fresh food with our love of flowers and plants, creating a place where people can relax, eat and drink. In addition, Tulipane is available for outside catering, and private events in the evening.

Our Story

Tulipanè is the most recent addition to the for ever expanding West End of Glasgow.

Tulipanè is the most recent addition to the for ever expanding West End of Glasgow. Tulipanè can be whatever you choose it to be. We are a cosy café and take away, with a menu offering breakfast and lunch, along with freshly baked bread and pastries, plants & gifts.

Tulipanè evolved after a visit to an old friend’s beautiful home in Lake Como (She’s not really that old!). Wandering around the ancient streets of Como we came across a café called Tulipane (Yes, I nicked it - roughly translated means Tulips and Bread). Tulipane was a cosy whilst effortlessly stylish space, selling flowers and plants fresh from the market, alongside locally baked artisan bread, served as it comes or stuffed with the most delicious fillings. It is a given in Italy that excellent coffee is at the heart of café culture, and the coffee at Tulipané is no exception.

My passion for serving good authentic fresh food, great coffee came together with my love of flowers and plants, creating a place where people can feel at ease. This inspired me to create my very own Glasgow version of Tulipané. So if you work, live, pass by or make a point of venturing along Dumbarton Road please do pop in. Turn left from Partick Railway Station down the ‘other end’ of Dumbarton Road towards Thornwood. You will find independent vintage, art and restoration and second-hand shops, along beside bars, coffee shops and places to eat. We are the new guys on the block with more to come. (We will have new neighbours opening soon...).

Lesley, Calum and Katie are looking forward to meeting old and new customers and friends.
